C9 Dinner Prawns, Brown Rice & Quinoa Stir-Fry

Well I am on this C9 diet and been thinking about this 600 calorie or less meal all day so I am trying to put together a few dishes that will make the most of things. So if your’e doing the diet or you just wanting something healthy I am going to be posting a few ideas for you to try.

 

You will need:

50g Small Prawns

50g Brown Shrimp

1/2 Cup of Wholegrain Basmati and Quinoa

1/6 of Red and Green Peppers

1/2 Inch Ginger

1 Garlic Clove

1/2 Red Chilli

1 Spring Onion

1 tsp Light Soy

1 tsp Walnut Oil

1/4 tsp Chinese 5 Spice

 

1. Put your rice and quinoa on to boil in salted water (check instructions for timings)

2. Measure out your prawns in to a bowl.

3. Finely slice all your vegetables and mix in a bowl.

4. Once the rice is cooked drain and set aside.

5. Put 1 tsp of oil in the pan and get it nice and hot before adding the vegetables, soy and 5 spice. Cook for no more than 2 minutes adding the prawns half way through.

6. Finally add the rice back to the dish and mix well.
